Pietro Mastromatteo started building houses with his father as a 10 year old boy. Learning the secrets of a craftsman at a young age, took him to structural engineering education in his youth. He started assisting Gatta Homes as a teenager and grew with the company in the running of all the sites and keeping the building technology as a priority. Pietro brought such products as "Thermapan", steel stud framing, engineered joists, floating ceilings, "Ipex" water lines, e.t.c. to the companies collection of standard products. Phil Michalika started with Pietro as a youth framing houses at Gatta Homes. Phil quickly showed his strength in earning the respect of his trades as a site foreman. Phil grew to running full subdivisions and keeping the flow of multiple trades smooth and friendly. To this day Phil has not lost site of the attention to each and every detail in the homes he builds. Phil is always acceasable to all the clients on site for any concerns they may have. Mark Michalika (Marky) is the latest addition to the Gatta Family. As the youngest member of the team, he started as a carpenter and quickly learned to build the custom details that make Gatta Homes different from all other homes. Besides running the sites, Phil and Marky also design and build decks, small carpentry work, fences, e.t.c. for clients after they have settled into their new home.
